This little 2-sided Craspire stamp makes really cute little paw print seals. I used the end that looks like a cat's print first and was charmed by the little seal it produced. Oddly, the larger of the two prints themselves seems to be the cat's print. When I purchased the stamp, I assumed the cat's print was in the wreath, but after looking at them more closely that one looks more like a dog's print.For those of you who are puzzled by little 15mm seals, they're the right size to place near your signature on a card or letter. Or anywhere you'd like to add a decorative touch since seals themselves haven't been needed since envelopes with gummed flaps came into use. But seals are a charming tradition that often delights the recipient.I have quite a few stamps & I find these mini stamps are perfect to use as a label on stamps whose handles are flat or nearly flat on the top, attaching it with the same adhesive backing used for paper. I use different handles as a way of categorizing my stamps, and a mini stamp on the top is another way of distinguishing my stamps within those groups since stamps are generally stored with the metal side down. Heavy brass stamps like this chill quickly and stay cold longer than those with wooden or plastic handles—a cold stamp releases more easily from the wax after it cools. And little seals can be made quickly.Seals also make nice little gifts, and seals made with a stamp like this would make a cute gift to someone with a cat or dog. Imagine the delight on the face of a child seeing a paw print inside a birthday or other card. I often receive cards with a paw print stamped in ink ostensibly from a friend's dog who loves sending cards for different holidays & celebrations. Silly but fun. Try it!
