I've had this over a month and have not been able to use it except twice because it takes so many hours to melt the paraffin. I tried following instructions but that was useless. What you do is ignore those programs for melting the paraffin and just crank it up to the highest temperature and it melts the paraffin way way waaaaaaaay more quickly! Works great now. Just be sure to throw out the instructions when you get the unit.Do you like doctor's offices? Waiting in line at the DMV? Then this is for you! One block of wax took two hours to heat at maximum temperature. Maybe if I lived near an active volcano it would've sped up, but I don't. Otherwise, decent quality.I don't know if I'm just too sensitive or what, but it's too hot for me. It burns my hands to put them in the wax. If I lower the temp any then it starts to harden and I can't use it. I wish I had sent it back before the return window closed.Bought this for my wife and daughter to try out and it burnt both of them. It’s a nightmare to clean and it takes FOREVER for the wax to melt. It’s just junk. This takes so much longer to heat up than the instruction manual says it will. It’s also very messy and hard to clean up. Wish I’d never bought it.I haven’t use the item but I know I will like the item because this is what I wanted for awhile now I finally got it.Nice paraffin wax machine. Wax melted in about an hour. Heating adjustment worked great, can change from C to F easily. Very happy with my purchase as it was a good deal.Products works as stated, making my hands soft and silky smooth after the first use. This unit takes over 3 hours at 185 degrees to melt 2 pounds of parafin wax.Save your moneyVery easy to use, temp is easy to control and it’s a good sturdy machine.Far too much work to maintain perfect temperaturesWould not recommend this productUnable to control heat…I had one of these as a teen that I used all the time which was a lot less fancy, but also a lot less expensive. This one seems to be of great quality and doesn't seem cheap at all.I like that it has settings to set it to melt. I pretty much did it manually at 85 to melt and 55 to dip. I will play around with it more. I do like that it shows the temp dropping.I don't know if the temperature is off or if I am very sensitive (never have been before), but if I dip at 55, it nearly scalds me, 50 is still too hot. Any lower and it starts to build a film and if you move it out of the way to dip, you just get clumps. I will have to continue to play with the settings and see if I can get it right. I dipped my feet and hands and used the brush on a few wounds that had poor healing and the skin felt a lot softer. I will need to order more wax because I didn't find it was enough.I noticed several things on the listing page that confused me. It does not contain 2 packs of 2lbs of wax. It contains 2lbs total. Using 1lb was not enough to really do much with. It wouldn't cover a foot so you'd have to brush it on. It barely covered my fingers. It also says in the listing "(Wireless Music Player with Shinning Lights)". I don't know where the wireless music is. There was nothing in the instructions or in the above feature listing.Speaking of the instructions, it was a little lacking in the presettings with A1, A2, and A3. There were more details on the sale page than in the pamphlet.I think it is a nice set. I just wish it included more wax of the same scent. I don't want to mix the two together. So 2lbs of 2lbs would have been great. I like that it had cloth booties and mitts available for containing heat. They are nice quality too with a liner and velcro for a closer seal. The lights are a nice touch but I could have done with out them.
